Friday night, I went shopping for groceries and also bought GRAZIA magazine. I was very excited, when I saw that there was a coupon for a free Kiehl’s lipgloss in the magazine. There are three Kiehl’s stores here in Hamburg and I always wanted to buy something, but did not yet have the time. On top of that, it said in the magazine that the free lipgloss is a “berry” lipgloss, which I love. I did not have time to go shopping on Saturday, so I went to Kiehl’s during my lunch break on Monday with my colleague Anika. As I saw the lipgloss in the little Kiehl’s store, I was very happy that I was about to receive one for free. Unfortunately, there were no free lipglosses left. Okay, I will just stop by at one of the other Kiehl’s stores, I thought. However, all three stores were out of them. The coupon is valid until the end of the week (November 18) and so I was very disappointed. I am not proud of it, but I ended up buying the lipgloss after all (only in a lighter color), because I wanted to get it all weekend. I like my “golden berry” gloss, because it is not sticky, but am still a little angry that I had to pay 17 EUR. At least I have the color that suits me best – the free lipgloss would have been to dark anyway (this is what I tell myself)…

Freitagabend war ich noch schnell Lebensmittel einkaufen und habe mir im Vorbeigehen die GRAZIA mitgenommen. Auf dem Cover stand, dass sich ein Gutschein für einen Kiehl’s Lipgloss im Magazin befindet – super! Hamburg hat drei Kiehl’s Stores und ich wollte eigentlich schon immer mal die Produkte von Kiehl’s probieren, kam bisher aber noch nicht dazu. Besonders cool: der kostenlose Lipgloss ist ein “Berry”-Lipgloss – ich liebe Berry-Gloss! Samstag hatte ich dann keine Zeit einkaufen zu gehen und bin deshalb gleich am Montag in der Mittagspause mit meiner Kollegin Anika zu Kiehl’s. Als ich den Lipgloss im Kiehl’s Store gesehen habe, habe ich mich schon darauf gefreut, ihn gleich kostenlos zu bekommen. Es waren aber leider keine kostenlosen Lipglosse mehr da. Okay, dann geh ich einfach bei einem der anderen beiden Stores vorbei. Falsch gedacht! Alle drei Stores hatten keine Giveaways mehr. Der Gutschein ist bis zum 18. November, also bis Ende der Woche, gültig (ja, natürlich nur solange der Vorrat reicht, ich weiß…) und deshalb war ich sehr enttäuscht. Ich bin nicht besonders stolz darauf der Marketing-Masche auf den Leim gegangen zu sein, aber ich habe mir dann einen der Lipglosse gekauft, weil ich mich schon das ganze Wochenende darauf gefreut hatte. Ich habe allerdings eine hellere Farbe ausgewählt, die besser zu meinem Typ passt. Der “golden berry” Lipgloss gefällt mir gut, er ist nicht klebrig und die Farbe ist auch schön natürlich. Trotzdem ärgere ich mich ein bisschen, dass ich 17 EUR bezahlt habe und andere ihn umsonst bekamen. Wenigstens habe ich jetzt die richtige Farbe, die andere wäre sicher viel zu dunkel gewesen (rede ich mir zumindest ein)…
