I have already talked about the importance of breastcancer awareness here on Sue Loves NYC recently. Today, I want to show you a fall outfit I styled with the Hallhuber charity silk scarf that was sent to me by my friend Anne. Hallhuber supports “Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V.”, an important organisation here in Germany – they donate 20 EUR for every purchased scarf. I really love the illustrations by Naja Conrad Hansen, an artist from Copenhagen, who has already worked with many magazines and also important fashion labels. On the picture below, you can see my favorite illustration “LOVE”, you might recognize, if you have ever been to New York City.

Yesterday, CLOSED and GRAZIA Magazine arranged a style cocktail at the CLOSED store in Hamburg. Sadly, lovely Isabelle from CLOSED could not be there, but I was very happy to meet friends and bloggers at the store. The guests also had the chance to order an individual batik jeans or cords – limited to 100 pants. My favorite: purple and dark blue denims. I also loved the mottled pullover (you can see a picture after the cut!) and also saw great biker boots. Of course, there were many bloggers at the event and I also saw my friend Lexi from Grazia Online (she’s the beautiful brunette in the picture above). Lovely people and lovely clothes lead to a nice evening!

I want to show you what I wore the first day of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Spring Summer 2013 in Berlin. It was a perfect summer day, so I chose my Hallhuber dress and my silver ballet flats by Flip Flop. My bag is by my favorite designer Marc Jacobs, who also attended Fashion Week in Berlin as the patron of Designer for Tomorrow. My neon bracelet is by a dear friend of my Mom, Jane Gierlich. I loved the Kaviar Gauche collection (as always it will be one of my favorites!) and the atmosphere at the Hunkemöller show was amazing.

Ich möchte euch kurz zeigen, was ich am ersten Tag der Berliner Fashion Week Spring Summer 2013 anhatte. Heute war es so schön warm hier, dass ich mein Hallhuber Kleid und meine silberfarbenen Ballerinas von Flip Flop angezogen habe. Meine Tasche ist von meinem Lieblingsdesigner Marc Jacobs, der heute als Schirmherr von Designer for Tomorrow auch in der Hauptstadt war. Das Armband in Neon-Orange ist von einer lieben Freundin meiner Mutter, Jane Gierlich. Ich bin (wieder einmal) absolut verliebt in die Kollektion von Kaviar Gauche und war verzaubert von der schönen Atmosphäre bei Hunkemöller im Berliner Ensemble.

Today, I am invited to a wedding (not the reception itself, but the party afterwards) and wanted to show you my outfit. I could not decide which dress to wear, but finally chose my new blue Hallhuber dress. Sadly, it is not summer yet, so I added black tights and a pink blazer. Of course, I am wearing jewelry my boyfriend gave to me during the last years: a beautiful Tiffany & Co. bracelet with a tiny heart (Elsa Peretti collection) and a necklace from Pearlfection with a heart pendant engraved with (“Love” and “Jens & Susan”). I know this is not the typical wedding outfit, but I still think I am dressed for the occasion. What do you think?

Heute bin ich zu einer Hochzeit eingeladen (nicht zur Trauung selbst, sondern zur Hochzeitsfeier am Abend) und wollte euch kurz mein Outfit zeigen. Ich konnte mich nur schwer entscheiden, was ich anziehen soll, aber habe mich dann für mein neues blaues Hallhuber Kleid entschieden. Da leider doch noch nicht richtig Sommer ist, kombiniere ich schwarze Strumpfhosen und meinen pinken Blazer zum Kleid. Natürlich trage ich zur Hochzeit Schmuck, den mir mein Freund in den letzten Jahren geschenkt hat: ein wunderschönes Tiffany’s Armband mit Herzanhänger (Elsa Peretti Kollektion) und eine Kette von Pearlfection, ebenfalls mit Herz (eingraviert: “Love” und “Jens & Susan”). Es ist kein typisches Hochzeitsoutfit, aber ich denke, es passt trotzdem zum Anlass. Was meint ihr?

Tomorrow, I am invited to a wedding. I already have many options of dresses: dark purple Calvin Klein, sixties look with my black, pink and orange dress or my blue Hallhuber dress. The make-up that Claudia from Bobbi Brown has created is the perfect match for all dresses. It is natural but also pink and colorful – the bridal make up simply emphasizes the natural beauty of the bride. I am very excited for the wedding!

Morgen bin ich mit meinem Freund auf eine Hochzeit eingeladen. Ich muss mich noch zwischen einigen Kleidern entscheiden: einem Etuitkleid von Calvin Klein in Lila, einem schwarz, pink, orangefarbenen Kleid im Sixties Look oder meinem blauen Hallhuber Kleid. Beim Make-Up habe ich schon eine Hilfestellung von Claudia von Bobbi Brown bekommen. Das Make-Up passt perfekt zu allen Kleidern und ist ein wenig mehr pink und stärker als das Braut Make-Up. Schließlich soll ein Braut Make-Up auch einfach nur die natürliche Schönheit der Braut unterstreichen. Ich freue mich sehr auf die Hochzeit!

Summer is coming closer and every time I go shopping I find myself standing in front of beautiful long summer dresses. During wintertime I rarely wear dresses, but I love wearing a cute summer dress when it is getting warmer outside. Usually, my summer dresses are short, but recently I like the hippie look of longer dresses. Should I try a long dress? Which shoes do you prefer with longer dresses – only high heels or also flats?

Der Sommer kommt näher und jedes Mal, wenn ich einkaufen gehe, stehe ich vor tollen langen Sommerkleidern. Im Winter trage ich sehr selten Kleider, aber sobald der Sommer kommt sieht man mich häufiger in süßen sommerlichen Kleidern. Normalerweise sind meine Sommerkleider immer kurz, aber seit kurzem schiele ich immer wieder zu den langen Kleidern im Hippie-Look. Kurz oder lang? Und welche Schuhe kombiniert ihr zu langen Sommerkleidern – nur High Heels oder auch flache Römersandalen?

Yesterday, I was invited to the pre-opening of the Hallhuber flagship store here in Hamburg. I loved the interior design of the store and the colorful collection – as you all know I adore pink. Dressed for the occasion, I wore my cute Hallhuber scarf with little heart-prints. I also was happy to see Anne (she writes the Hallhuber Style Blog), we used to work together as online journalists for Edelight at Berlin Fashion Week and meet some other bloggers – Kathrin from Kathrynsky, Anna Frost from Fashionpuppe and Juliane from Style Shiver for example. One of my highlights: singer Imany! You have to check out the French singer, her voice is just amazing.

Gestern war ich beim Pre-Opening des Hallhuber Flagshipstores hier in Hamburg. Ich liebe das Design des Stores und mag die farbenfrohe Kollektion – wie ihr ja alle wisst habe ich eine hohe Affinität zu Pink. Passend zum Anlass habe ich natürlich mein süßes Hallhuber Tuch zu einem Blazer kombiniert. Ich habe mich sehr gefreut Anne (sie schreibt den Hallhuber Style Blog) wieder zu sehen, mit ihr habe ich schon gemeinsam die Berliner Fashion Week für Edelight unsicher gemacht. Aber es waren noch mehr Blogger da, wie Kathrin von Kathrynsky, Anna Frost von Fashionpuppe und Juliane von Style Shiver. Eines meiner Highlights: der Auftritt von Sängerin Imany! Die französische Sängerin hat eine wunderschöne Stimme und ist ein echter Geheimtipp.

Citrus and yellow colors are one of the big trends for summer. The Hallhuber Spring-Summer 2012 collection takes up this trend and shows feminine yellow blouses combined with pants and tops in nude.

I like the Hallhuber combinations, because I don’t want to look like Big Bird from Sesame Street wearing yellow all over, so I like to pair yellow pieces with neutral light colors like nude or white. My favorite piece is the nude top, but I also like the feminine yellow blouse. Do you like the collection?

Zitrusfarben und Gelb sind die Trendfarben für diesen Sommer. Die Hallhuber Spring-Summer 2012 Kollektion nimmt diesen Trend auf und zeigt beispielsweise feminine gelbe Schluppenblusen, die mit Hosen und Tops in Nude kombiniert werden.

Ich mag die Hallhuber Kombinationen, weil ich nicht wie Bibo aus der Sesamstraße aussehen will, indem ich Gelb von Kopf bis Fuß trage. Deshalb kombiniere auch ich die Trendfarbe gern mit Nude oder Weiß. Mein Lieblingsteil der Hallhuber-Kollektion ist das fließende nudefarbene Top, aber ich mag auch die femininen zitrusfarbenen Blusen. Wie findet ihr die Kollektion?
