Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin Fall-Winter 2013 – here I come!

Der Plan für die Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin für Fall-Winter 2013 steht. Aus einer Tabelle wurden schnell drei und ich würde mich am liebsten wieder vierteilen, um alles besuchen zu können, was ich gern möchte. Diese Saison bin ich wie die letzten beiden für Sue Loves NYC auf der Fashion Week, aber auch für den Engelhorn Blog Fashion Up Your Life.

Besonders freue ich mich wie immer auf Dorothee Schumacher, Michalsky und Dawid Tomaszewski. Doch auch einige Newcomer wie Zoe Ona oder Isabell de Hillerin haben mein Interesse geweckt und ich bin gespannt wie die Kollektionen live wirken. Außerdem bin ich natürlich wieder beim Fashion Blogger Café vor Ort. Doch nicht nur auf die Mode im Zelt und um das Zelt herum dürft ihr hier gespannt sein. Ich werde euch natürlich während und nach der Fashion Week auch mit den aktuellsten Beauty-Trends versorgen.

This season I am at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Berlin not only for Sue Loves NYC, but also for Engelhorn’s blog Fashion Up Your Life. My schedule is full, but I am very much looking forward to fashion week madness again.

I am excited to see the fall-winter collections of Dorothee Schumacher, Michalsky and Dawid Tomaszewski, but also am happy to see some newcomers like Zoe Ona or Isabell de Hillerin. Of course, I will also attend the Fashion Blogger Café. I will not only show you the latest looks, the fall-winter collections, but will also look out for new beauty trends.

First Glimpse: My Engelhorn Trendhouse Holiday Window

Der Tag gestern im Engelhorn Trendhouse war einfach großartig. Als ich drei Jahre lang genau gegenüber vom Trendhouse gewohnt habe (während meines Studiums), hätte ich nie gedacht, dass ich dort einmal vor einem Schaufenster stehen würde, das einen Aufkleber mit meinem Namen trägt und dessen Outfits ich dekoriert habe. Danke an euch fürs Abstimmen und an Engelhorn für diese tolle Möglichkeit.

Ich habe heute schon ein paar Instagram-Impressionen für euch. Teilweise habe ich mich gefühlt wie bei Shopping Queen, weil ich mich, wenn ich gerade ein tolles Outfit gefunden hatte, schon gleich auf ein anderes gestürzt habe. Besonders gefielen mir im Engelhorn Trendhouse die Ecken von Ralph Lauren Denim & Supply, Tommy Hilfiger, Maison Scotch, Boss und natürlich habe ich mich in sämtliche Liebeskind Berlin Taschen verliebt. Wer die Wahl hat, hat die Qual – oder so ähnlich.

Bevor ich aber schon zu viel verrate, hier ein paar Schnappschüsse. Mehr Fotos und einen weiteren Artikel gibt es dann morgen, denn morgen Mittag werde ich noch einmal zu meinem Schaufenster fahren, um bei Tageslicht ein paar Fotos für euch zu knipsen.

I loved creating my holiday window at Engelhorn Trendhouse yesterday. Looking at the great labels and clothes, I really felt like a kid in the candy store. I would have never dreamed that, after living right across the street of Engelhorn Trendhouse for three years (while going to college in Mannheim), I would one day look at my own Trendhouse window. Thank you all for this great opportunity.

Here are some Instagram impressions of my day at Engelhorn Trendhouse. I especially liked Ralph Lauren Denim & Supply, Tommy Hilfiger, Boss, Maison Scotch and of course I fell completely in love with all the fab Liebeskind Berlin bags. It really was hard to decide on two outfits for my holiday window.

However, I don’t want to reveal too much. I will tell you more in another article tomorrow and will also visit my holiday window once again to take pictures for you in daylight.

Interview with Victoria’s Secret angel Doutzen Kroes at the Repeat Cashmere presentation

Top model and Victoria’s Secret angel Doutzen Kroes visited Germany on Saturday and I had the opportunity to talk to her at the presentation of the new Repeat Cashmere collection at Engelhorn in Mannheim. How do you prepare for meeting a beautiful model? First of all, you research on the internet and find out that she pronounces her name “Dautzen Krus”, which is very helpful. Yes, and in my case, you pull out your Nike’s and favorite denim shirt and head to Engelhorn in Mannheim on a Saturday morning.

Doutzen Kroes has worked with Repeat Cashmere before, but I have to say the current campaign is my favorite. The main reason: New York at night is the beautiful background of many campaign images. Doutzen looked as stunning in real life as she does in photographs and on TV. You know how they say that a great personality makes people look even prettier? This is exactly true when you meet Doutzen Kroes. She was very nice and friendly and also very down-to-earth and I had a great time talking to her.

At Engelhorn there was a camera team by RTL waiting for Doutzen and then it was just Julia from Engelhorn and me sitting down and having a nice chat with the top model before the Repeat presentation.

Sue Loves NYC: Hello Doutzen, it is so nice meeting you. What is your fall trend this season?

Doutzen Kroes: I think navy. Navy is the new black. In winter everyone goes black and that’s why I love this blue sweater, because it’s still bright and colorful and I love that.

Sue Loves NYC: Since my blog is called Sue Loves NYC, I would love to know, if you have a favorite shop in New York you could recommend?

Doutzen Kroes: I like to go to big stores, like today, where you can find everything. Like Barney’s in New York. As a little store, I like Curve in New York. (Note: Curve is a great store on Mercer Street, where you can find designer clothes, e.g. by Viktor & Rolf or Alexander McQueen)

Sue Loves NYC: What’s your go-to outfit? What would you like to wear 24/7?

Doutzen Kroes: The leather pants I am wearing today, together with a cashmere sweater from Repeat. Really, it is so comfortable. I travel in this, I go to dinner in this or I sit at home and watch a movie in this. It’s just something you can wear all the time.
